Induction cooking is attracting attention because it is quick, saves energy and creates a cooler cooking environment. Induction cooktops come in 30-inch and 36-inch sizes, in both Professional and Designer Series. Viking’s free-standing ranges now come in the newly designed Classic and Custom series, which features new handles, louvreless toe kicks and new control knobs and bezels. Viking’s free-standing, sealed-burner ranges, in both all-gas and dual-fuel options, have made several performance changes, such as an electronic oven thermostat—resulting in more accurate temperature control and response. Sealed burners are also available in 30-, 36- and 48-inch-wide rangetops. The sealed-burner ranges and rangetops provide the cleanability of sealed burners without losing any of the “simmer-to-high” versatility customers have come to expect from Viking ranges. The stylish Designer Series line of built-in appliances perfectly complements Viking’s original Professional series. Thirty- and 36-inch rangetops have been added to the Designer Series. Each series comes in different designer colors, and Viking uses 304-grade stainless steel inside and outside each appliance to ensure each generation’s satisfaction with its products. A unified look with quality Viking appliances makes even inexpensive cabinets look good. Viking’s 6-foot cabinet-depth refrigerator brings out a whole new element in kitchen design. The quintessential built-in refrigerator requires cabinet modification for remodeling projects. Now homeowners and designers can have the effect of a Viking built-in refrigerator without major cabinet modification. This free-standing refrigerator can be installed to look exactly like a built-in, with optional grill and side trims, or look free-standing, with optional stainless-steel side panels. The best news is that all of the above costs less than $3,500. Viking’s refrigeration line includes Viking’s all-refrigerator, all-freezer units in 30- and 36-inch widths, with top grill kits to match any combination of sizes. Panel-capable refrigerators, dishwashers, unit counters and 7-foot wine cellars add to Viking’s Professional and Designer series refrigeration lines, enabling both kitchen designers and homeowners to create whatever looks they want in their kitchens. Twenty-four designer colors can also create distinctive elements to Viking kitchens. Outdoor cooking products continue to grow. A new, separate 24-inch Trusear grill sears what’s cooking before it is moved to the grill for barbecuing. The new E-Series barbecue offers a 110V ignition, which provides automatic reignition if the flame goes out, and two glass-enclosed halogen lights in the canopy. For outdoor kitchens, Viking offers beverage/entertaining stainless-steel stations complete with a kitchen sink, outdoor stainless-steel cabinets for durability and style and Viking’s first charcoal-driven, kamado-type smoker/barbecue grill. The outdoor range is a barbecue that can have side burners and a gas outdoor oven in a very mobile cart providing complete outdoor cooking. Viking’s complete cooking includes the flagship, free-standing range—in sizes from 24 to 60 inches—with rangetops and built-in wall ovens for an attractive, integrated look. The 24-inch gas range can have up to four burners and a gas oven, with a 24-inch grill on top, or a 24-inch griddle and gas oven, making this a companion range in the kitchen. Gas and electric drop-in cooktops, dedicated 27,500-BTU wok cookers, ventilation products, warming drawers, dishwashers, trash compactors, garbage disposals, microwaves and convection bake microwaves complete Viking’s impressive line of high-quality appliances. The ultra-quiet dishwasher features a tall tank that enables full-size plates to be placed on the upper racks. Satisfied Viking dishwasher owners have only one complaint: “I can’t tell when the dishwasher is finished, because I can’t hear it running.” |
