’Tis the season of the Big Three. Or did Halloween catch you by surprise? There’s still time to plan and enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas (also Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Oshogatsu, of course). No doubt, the most wonderful time of the year!
OK, I’ll admit it. Between all the gift buying, house decorating, turkey thawing, party going and school vacationing, my sanity has been tested. But I’ll survive the season, and with a smile on my face, by adopting a holiday frame of mind.
If you haven’t done the same, I suggest you start now. The winter holidays seem to arrive quicker every year—and with less warning. And here in Hawaii, no piles of autumn leaves or first frost will magically appear to whisper in your ear, “Remember to pick up champagne and a honey ham on the way home!”
Outside the grocery store, however, I’m not much of a shopper. Every Christmas, my horror builds of picking and choosing gifts. Do you feel my pain? If you need help getting the party started, if you don’t want to show up empty handed, I suggest you check out our Holiday Gift Guide: seven perfect presents for the host that you’ll love to give.
The holidays also mean recharging the batteries. What better place to snuggle up than in the bath? Flip on some mood lighting and crank up a relaxing CD—it’s comfort food for the soul. Sound inviting? Then, may I suggest our Bath, Lighting and Fixtures feature? It’s a veritable wish list of products and designs.
