Cranks. Make sure the handle cranks are working properly, and repair or replace any defective parts. Check that all mounting screws are properly mounted into the window frames. Screens. Dirty screens can limit breezes and spoil the view. Remove the screens and hose them down regularly. Check for rips and tears, and repair or replace any torn fabric to prevent bugs. Properly secure window screens back onto the window frames and replace any missing window clips. Slats. Clean the slats and consider installing security clips on the slats to discourage home intrusion. Well maintained jalousies and screens can keep a home cool and comfortable for years to come. City Mill carries a large selection of jalousie repair and replacement hardware—from handle cranks to window clips, screen repair kits to screen repair patches and even custom-size screens—we’ve got you covered.
