We’ve all heard reports of the current housing market downturn. It seems that, in these economic conditions, many of us are choosing to improve our existing homes rather than trade up. While putting this issue together, we were especially inspired by the story of a Kailua architect and contractor who overhauled his own home for his growing business while keeping his family’s needs in mind. Seashells are all the rage these days. They’ve been popping up in many national home magazines as decorating accessories. Here’s an idea I came up with: Hot-glue shells to an antique printers’ tray and hang it on the wall. It’s a beautiful way to display your collection, and it’s easy to do.
