We caught up with Daphne Oliveros, division manager of HomeWorld, to talk about an all-important living room topic: furniture and accessories.
HHR: How important is furniture in the overall transformation?
DO: It’s very important. Many parts complete the whole, and furniture is one of those parts.
HHR: What are some of the most common mistakes someone can make with furniture in a room?
DO: They put too much in a room, or the pieces are not in balance with the space.
HHR: In addition to furniture, HomeWorld is providing the accessories for the makeover. How important are accessories to the look and feel of a room?
DO: Home accessories are the same as fashion accessories. They complete the room and tie everything together.
HHR: What are some of the most common mistakes someone can make with accessories?
DO: Not using any! Some people also like to collect a lot of different things. But all together, they don’t really work to create a statement.
