Whether it’s a lamp or a chandelier, shining a little light on a space can drastically change the mood. You put a lot of time and effort into your home, but “how well will you see your beautiful furniture in your elegant home after the sun goes down?” ask the experts at Cliq Creative Lighting in the Honolulu Design Center.  With the extensive options available today, you are sure to find lighting that fits your home. Here are some options to inspire you.

Chandeliers

Unlike pendants, which hang from one cord or chain system and hold one or two lights, chandeliers are hung in a branched system and hold many lights. They often become the focal point of a room,  and they can pull it together by tying in furniture, accessories and colors.

Explore your options.

There are seemingly infinite alternatives when it comes to lighting. Choices affect price. If you find that a piece of lighting is pricey, consider mixing it up—a different finish, shade or material on the same fixture could lower the price point.

Know before you go.

“Different types of lighting provide different functions for a space, so be sure you know what you need each source of light for and how you will use it,” says Isla Schmidt of So’mace. What types of lighting work best for your space? Consult the experts, and visit our Web-exclusive lighting glossary.
