Feeling a little frazzled these days?
Creating a spalike bathroom could be just the cure you need to wash all your worries away. “The master bath has become a sanctuary, a spa, a personal space to relax and refresh,” says Ed Moore, of Waialae Plumbing. Like many of the pros we talked to, Moore says beautiful master- bathroom suites are becoming standard on his installation schedule. “The average bathroom today is almost three times larger than the bathrooms of the past,” says Marshall Hickox, of Homeworks Construction; everyone is looking to achieve a more spacious feel. An improved layout, combined with the right colors and long-lasting, low-maintenance fixtures and finishes can help you get the breathing space you’ve been craving. “Comfort colors,” such as subdued neutrals and earth tones like cool greens and browns are in high demand for bath fixtures and finishes—leaving room to experiment with colorful accessories, if the mood strikes. “I love this concept,” Moore says. “It affords the opportunity for change without great expense. It is also a terrific plan for someone who may have plans to sell their home in the future.” Page 1 of 3 >> 2 >> 3 >> Next |
