Though Hawaii homeowners began asking for Earth-conscious kitchen plans in greater numbers, material choices, as well as fixture and finish options, were limited. Fast-forward to today. Green design has arrived. Eco-friendly materials are available in a wider range of styles than ever before.

“As designers, we’re made aware of new products from all of our vendors,” says Tiare Noelani Cowan, CKD, allied ASID, of Archipelago Hawaii, Refined Island Designs. Wider product availability equals more options for homeowners with differing tastes.
