Upon entering the Golden Cabinets showroom, which has been open for two years, it becomes immediately apparent what this family business specializes in. “We do cabinets exclusively,” says manager Denise Wang, “so we focus on style.” Here, Wang fills us in on what makes Golden Cabinets stand out.

How the company got its start:

“My father-in-law has been a contractor for more than 15 years. He was always installing plenty of cabinets, so that’s where we got the idea.”
Two ways to describe Golden Cabinets:
“Reasonable prices and good quality.”

Golden Cabinets designer Wenwen Cao studies the cabinetry market and stocks up on the most-requested styles. Says manager Denise Wang (pictured above), “Right now, Shaker style is popular, so we bring it in.”

Two products you shouldn’t miss:

“The Magic Corner (for a video on how it works, click here) and the aluminum utensil organizer.”

How the cabinets attain exceptional strength:

“We use 5/8-inch-thick wood, which is the maximum for framed cabinets. Most other manufacturers will use only ½-inch-thick wood.”

Why the style stands out:

“We make the same finish inside and out. Some people will just finish the outside and leave the inside raw. We finish both.”

What makes great customer service:

“We can get cabinets very quickly and for a reasonable price. Typically, a lot of customers have to wait six to eight weeks to get their cabinets, but they can get ours in two weeks because of the large inventory we stock here. We also offer free 3D renderings with any cabinetry order, and we do design.”
