A tiny kitchen doubles in size and efficiency.

They visited an open house in their neighborhood that featured the design work of Randall Omoto of Homeowners Design Center. “They said, ‘Wow. Can we do something like this?’” Omoto says. Shortly after, they were meeting regularly with Omoto, putting together plans for the kitchen of their dreams. On their wish list: Open up the house, entice people to enter the kitchen, maximize the space, modernize the look and functionality, and keep it cool. The homeowners had specific strategies they wanted to try. “We thought about this for a long time,” the homeowner says.
