The company now retails more than seven collections out of its Kakaako location. Now a full-fledged showroom, its brands include Mama Green; a sleek line of outdoor furniture, Box Furniture; an all-custom mash of organic, traditional and modern design, and the 6t9 collection, a contemporary/Asian fusion-style furniture line. This year, 87Zero also began carrying FLOR, a popular brand of modular carpet tiles available in a myriad of colors and styles, great for both large and small areas.
Hasegawa is proud of the style and quality that are evident in the lines he carries. “We’re definitely more contemporary,” he says. “I’d say a lot of our furniture is European-inspired. It has very clean lines. Then we tweak it with a bit of Asian or Pacific flair.” Customization is a hallmark of the 87Zero experience, according to Hasegawa. “In one of my new bed collections, you can choose your own leather, your own color of stitching … even custom sizing. We are really opening up custom capability to the general public.” 870 Kawaiahao St. 791-9860 Open: Mon. – Sat., 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 87zerohi.com |
