Homeowner Trevor Benn knew exactly what he wanted when it came time to build his home. Benn, president and founder of the realty company Benn Pacific Group, purchased a flat lot in Nuuanu and wanted to carry out the architectural traditions of the valley. He wanted a Craftsman-style home that would harken back to the plantation era, with modern touches. “I just love the gingerbread style the old master carpenters would use in the early 1900s,” Benn says. “I wanted to be surrounded by that craftsmanship, but didn’t want to give up all the modern conveniences.”
