Glen Sugiyama and Susan Uyetake were in desperate need of a remodel. The kitchen in their St. Louis Heights home had remained unchanged since it was built in 1972 — the dark brown particle-board cabinets were flaking, exposing pressed wood beneath. With no windows and only one entrance, the kitchen was a dark, lonely space between the living and family rooms.
Thankfully, Sugiyama’s cousin referred them to Corrine Tadaki-Davis of Pictures Plus Interiors. After considering three designs, the couple finally settled on the unique but neutral tones of Kashmir Gold granite countertops alongside maple and zebrawood cabinetry, with just a pop of color via pendant lights. “We are very happy with our selection of Pictures Plus Interiors,” Uyetake says. “Corrine was very helpful, accommodating and patient.”
