I hope you are all having a great Earth Day. While today marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, we think every day should be Earth Day in your home--even if you only do one green thing a day! So it was perfect timing when this book landed on my desk: Do One Green Thing: Saving the Earth Through Simple, Everyday Choices. Written by Honolulu native Mindy Pennybacker, it's full of easy-to-do ideas for living a little greener, one choice at a time. There's even a whole section called "A Green and Healthy Home," with tips you can implement today, such as receiving and paying bills online rather than using snail mail. "If every U.S. home did this, we'd reduce paper waste by 1.6 billion tons a year and cut greenhouse gases by 2.1 million tons a year," Pennybacker writes. Not bad, huh? What's one green thing you will do today? For more stories like this:
