Red Bamboo recently opened its second store, located in Aloha Tower Marketplace, and it is HUGE. While its Kailua location is quaint and charming, its city store boasts more than three times the square footage at a roomy 5,000 square feet.

There is plenty of room to display its vast collection of island-style furnishings and accessories. You can find everything here from dining tables, beds and benches to light fixtures, artwork, key chains and hand bags. They not only have a variety of items, but a variety of styles, too. So no matter if your style is beachy-casual, traditional Hawaiian or Far East Asian, you’ll definitely find something here.

The best part: the price. I talked to Lisa, a store employee, during my visit, and she says their low prices can be attributed to cutting out the middle man. Company owner, Carole Jacobs, frequents neighbor Islands, the Mainland, Bali and Indonesia to bring in the merchandise herself. And if the prices aren’t low enough, you can also request military and kamaaina discounts, which they give on most select merchandise.
