Here’s the HHR editorial team at the most recent New and Improved Home shoot. Just look at all those serious faces. Exactly what are we staring at so intensely? If I recall correctly, we were discussing how to arrange a throw blanket on the bed in the master bedroom. We really do consider every detail of the images we put in the magazine—and we love it! We all agree that we can’t think of anything better than spending the morning at a beautiful beach home.
This month’s New and Improved Home sported several features that made it onto staff lists of personal favorites. Associate editor Dena Cassella was dazzled by the open feel of the living room created by the high, beamed ceiling. Wind grates built into the bay window bench thrilled editor Tom Kunz. I, myself, was a huge fan of the wood paneling in the hallway, intentionally left rough to add texture to the overall look.
Of course, this month’s New and Improved Home story would not have been possible without the homeowners who graciously invited us into their home. Warm thanks and aloha go out to them for all their help!
